SHALLOW DRAFT FREEDOM, DEEP DRAFT PERFORMANCE
The Southerly 35RS boasts an impressive sail plan; the fraction rig combines a self tacking furling jib and a large powerful mainsail with single line reefing. This ensures the yacht can be easily sailed by two people. The main sheet track is positioned across the cockpit, within easy reach of the helmsman. The raised coachroof with pilot house windows provides a light and open interior. Partially reflective tinted glass gives privacy whilst also deflecting heat from the suns rays. The spacious interior has been designed for comfortable living with ample headroom, good ventilation and excellent accommodation. Two large cabins with generous berths and plenty of stowage, a sensible heads compartment and well planned linear galley, make living aboard this yacht a pleasure. At the touch of a button, the keel can be raised, to give a draft of 0.72M for shallow draft freedom.

The swing keel is raised and lowered by a hydraulic ram powered by an electrically driven pump with a manual back up. All hydraulics are easily accessible for maintenance.
